Delta and Jet2 Flights Divert Safely After Pilots Suffer In-Flight Incapacitation
Two separate commercial flights declared emergencies recently due to pilot incapacitation. A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757, en route from Milan to New York, diverted to Shannon, Ireland, after the first officer became unwell. Similarly, a Jet2 Boeing 737 flying from Birmingham to Antalya diverted to Thessaloniki, Greece, when the captain felt incapacitated.
