Delta Air Lines Announces Major Executive Shake-Up, Appoints New COO
Delta Air Lines is undergoing a significant leadership transition with several key executive changes. The carrier has named Mike Spanos as its new chief operating officer, set to succeed the retiring John Laughter. Concurrently, Delta President Glen Hauenstein has announced his retirement. Following Hauenstein's departure, CEO Ed Bastian will assume the additional title of president. As part of the restructuring, Chief Financial Officer Dan Janki will also take on expanded responsibilities. Janki's new oversight will include the airline's cargo, aircraft-leasing, and MRO businesses.
