Dassault Falcon Production Hindered by Supply Chain and Internal Pressures
Dassault Aviation is struggling to increase production of its Falcon business jets due to a combination of external and internal challenges. The company delivered only 26 aircraft in 2023, falling short of its 35-jet target. Chairman and CEO Eric Trappier cited ongoing supply chain disruptions, particularly with aerostructures and small equipment, as a major factor. Internally, Dassault is navigating a significant reorganization, adapting to new digital production tools, and dealing with a skills gap from hiring less-experienced staff. The company aims to overcome these hurdles and reach its goal of 35 Falcon deliveries in 2024.
