Danish Researchers Announce Breakthrough in E-Methanol Production for Sustainable Aviation Fuels
Researchers from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Danish company Topsoe have announced a significant breakthrough in producing sustainable fuels. They have developed a novel process that directly converts CO2 and green hydrogen into e-methanol in a single, integrated unit. This new method is described as more efficient and compact than previous two-stage processes. The resulting e-methanol is a crucial building block for creating e-kerosene, a type of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) aimed at decarbonizing the aviation sector.
