Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is now the first airport in the United States to operate a Rosenbauer Panther electric Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle. This acquisition marks a significant step in the airport's commitment to sustainable operations. The Panther is a hybrid-electric truck, equipped with two electric motors and a diesel engine that functions as a range extender. It boasts impressive performance, accelerating from 0 to 50 mph in under 25 seconds with a top speed exceeding 75 mph. The move is a key component of DFW's broader goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2030.
