Commemorative Air Force Continues Mission to Preserve and Fly Historic Military Aircraft
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring American military aviation history. It operates a large fleet of more than 175 historic aircraft, often referred to as a "flying museum." The organization's primary mission is to educate the public about the legacy of these warbirds and the individuals who flew them. Through national tours and airshows, such as the popular AirPower History Tour, the CAF makes these vintage planes accessible to communities across the country. This allows spectators to see, touch, and even fly in the iconic aircraft that shaped history.
