Collapsed Airline Flybe Owed £82.6m to Creditors, Report Finds
A new report from administrators reveals that the collapsed airline Flybe owed £82.6 million to creditors when it ceased trading in January 2023. The creditors include former employees, HM Revenue and Customs, and airports across the United Kingdom. According to the administrators' report, it is highly unlikely that unsecured creditors, including former staff and customers, will receive any payment. The regional carrier had been relaunched in April 2022 before failing for a second time less than a year later. The largest single creditor is a US-based aircraft leasing firm.
