Claremore High School Launches Aviation Program to Address Pilot Shortage
Claremore High School in Oklahoma is offering a new four-year aviation program to its students. This initiative provides a direct pathway for students to earn their private pilot license by the time they graduate. The curriculum, developed in partnership with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), utilizes flight simulators and hands-on training. The program aims to inspire the next generation of aviators and help address the ongoing nationwide pilot shortage. By exposing students to aviation careers early, the school hopes to build a sustainable talent pipeline for the industry.
