Claremore High School Introduces Aviation Program to Inspire Future Pilots
Claremore High School in Oklahoma has launched a new aviation class to address the national shortage of pilots and mechanics. The curriculum, developed by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), covers topics from aviation history to the principles of flight. Students gain practical experience through hands-on activities, including the use of flight simulators. The program aims to create a direct pathway for students interested in pursuing careers in the aviation industry. School officials hope this early exposure will encourage a new generation to enter the field.
