China Announces Breakthrough in Sustainable Jet Fuel with Projected 50% Profit Margin
Chinese scientists have developed a highly efficient new catalyst that converts agricultural waste into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The process, which uses corn stover, achieves a record-high conversion efficiency of 86.4 percent. This breakthrough is projected to significantly lower the cost of SAF, which is currently a major barrier to its widespread adoption. Researchers estimate this method could make SAF production highly lucrative, with a gross profit margin exceeding 50 percent. The development could dramatically accelerate the aviation industry's shift towards carbon neutrality.
