Central High School Senior Accepted into Tuskegee's Legacy Flight Academy Pilot Program
J’Veon Brown, a senior at Central High School in Tuscaloosa, has been accepted into the prestigious Legacy Flight Academy's "Eyes Above the Horizon" program. Held at Tuskegee University, the program is designed to introduce young people to careers in aviation and aerospace. It honors the legacy of the original Tuskegee Airmen, the first Black military aviators in the U.S. Army Air Corps. As a member of Central High's Air Force JROTC, Brown's acceptance is a significant step toward his dream of becoming a pilot. The program provides students with academic instruction, mentorship, and orientation flights.
