Central High School Senior Accepted into Tuskegee University's Exclusive Pilot Program
Jamir Dedrick, a senior at Central High School in Tuscaloosa, has been selected for a prestigious pilot training initiative. He is one of only 25 students nationwide accepted into the Legacy Flight Academy's 'Eyes Above the Horizon' program at Tuskegee University. The program honors the legacy of the historic Tuskegee Airmen by introducing young people to careers in aviation. Through the initiative, Dedrick will receive invaluable flight training and mentorship. His acceptance marks a significant step toward his goal of becoming a commercial airline pilot.
