Cayman Islands Bolsters North American Connectivity, Eyes Long-Haul European Routes
Driven by a strong tourism rebound, the Cayman Islands is significantly expanding its air transport links. National carrier Cayman Airways is increasing flight frequencies to key U.S. destinations, including Los Angeles and Denver. The airline is also enhancing regional connectivity by launching a new route to Barbados, creating a new link between the western and eastern Caribbean. Looking ahead, the carrier has expressed long-term ambitions to launch its first-ever transatlantic service. A direct route to London Heathrow is under serious consideration as a key part of its future growth strategy.
