Capital A Reports Record Revenue and Swings to Profit in Q1 2024
Capital A Bhd, the parent company of AirAsia, announced a significant financial turnaround for the first quarter of 2024. The group achieved a record quarterly revenue of RM5.71 billion, a 66% increase from the same period last year. This surge resulted in a net profit of RM107.12 million, reversing a net loss from the previous year. The strong performance was driven by a robust recovery in air travel demand across its network. Passenger numbers increased by 32% year-on-year, reaching 18.9 million.
