Business Aviation Prepares for Unprecedented Demand During FIFA World Cup 2026
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is expected to generate a massive surge in air traffic across North America. The tournament will span 16 host cities, placing significant strain on business and private aviation operations from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is advising operators to anticipate major challenges, including limited airport parking, strained ground support services, and potential customs processing delays. To address these issues, a collaborative working group has been formed with the FAA, Nav Canada, and Mexico's SENEAM. This group aims to coordinate airspace management and logistical planning to mitigate disruptions for aircraft operators during the event.
