British Airways Owner IAG Plans UK Expansion, Set to Create 1,000 Jobs
International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, has announced plans for a significant expansion of its UK operations. The growth is expected to create up to 1,000 new jobs across the country. CEO Luis Gallego identified key opportunities in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector, as well as in the IAG Cargo division. The expansion also includes growth in the company's loyalty program. This strategic move follows a period of strong post-pandemic recovery and a return to profitability for the airline group.
