British Airways Owner IAG in Talks to Acquire Collapsed Airline Flybe

International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, has entered into discussions to purchase the brand and assets of the collapsed UK airline, Flybe. The regional carrier ceased all operations and went into administration for a second time in January 2023. IAG is reportedly one of several interested parties exploring a deal with Flybe's administrators. A successful acquisition could allow IAG to expand its UK regional network and potentially utilize Flybe's valuable landing slots at key airports like Heathrow.
