British Airways Owner IAG Finalizes Order for 150 Boeing 737 MAX Jets
International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, has confirmed a major order for 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with options for an additional 100. This deal finalizes a commitment first announced in 2019. The firm order includes 25 of the larger 737-10 variant and 25 of the 737-8200 model. These new short-haul aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2031. The jets can be allocated to any of IAG's airlines, including Aer Lingus and Vueling, to support fleet modernization. This significant order serves as a major vote of confidence for Boeing's 737 MAX program.
