British Airways Owner IAG Finalizes £5.9bn Order for 150 Boeing and Airbus Aircraft
International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, has confirmed a major aircraft order valued at £5.9 billion ($7.5 billion). The deal converts previous options into firm orders for 150 short-haul aircraft. This includes 50 Boeing 737 MAX jets and 100 aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family. The new, more fuel-efficient planes are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2031. This significant investment signals the group's strong confidence in the continued recovery of the travel market.
