British Airways Owner IAG Finalizes £3.7bn Order for 150 Aircraft
International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, has confirmed a major aircraft order valued at £3.7 billion. The deal finalizes orders for 150 short-haul aircraft from both Boeing and Airbus to modernize its fleet. The firm order includes 50 Boeing 737 MAX jets, with options for an additional 100. Furthermore, IAG has converted options for 37 Airbus A320neo family aircraft into firm commitments. These new, fuel-efficient planes are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2031 for use across its airlines.
