British Airways Owner IAG Confirms Order for Six Airbus A321neo Jets for Aer Lingus
International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, has placed a firm order for six new Airbus A321neo aircraft. These new jets are specifically for its Irish carrier, Aer Lingus. The deal converts previous options into a confirmed purchase, with deliveries scheduled for 2024 and 2025. The modern, fuel-efficient aircraft will replace older A320ceo models in the fleet. This acquisition aims to enhance capacity and efficiency on key transatlantic routes operated from Dublin.
