Bristow and Vertical Aerospace to Deploy eVTOLs for High-Speed Medical and Organ Transport in the UK
Bristow Group is partnering with Vertical Aerospace to explore using the VX4 eVTOL aircraft for emergency medical services across the United Kingdom. The collaboration will focus on transporting time-critical organs and medical teams between hospitals, aiming to significantly improve patient outcomes. Leveraging the VX4's projected speed of 200 mph and near-silent operation, the companies plan to drastically reduce transit times compared to ground transport. A joint working group will develop a concept of operations for these life-saving missions. This initiative builds on Bristow's existing pre-order for up to 50 VX4 aircraft, marking a key step in integrating advanced air mobility into healthcare logistics.
