Brazil Rolls Out First Domestically Assembled Gripen E Fighter Jet
The Brazilian Air Force has officially received its first Gripen E fighter jet assembled entirely within Brazil. The aircraft was completed at Embraer's facility in Gavião Peixoto as part of a major technology transfer program with Sweden's Saab. This milestone marks a significant advancement for Brazil's domestic aerospace and defense industry. The locally-built F-39E Gripen will now undergo extensive ground and flight testing before being integrated into the air force's operational fleet. The program aims to deliver a total of 36 Gripen fighters, with increasing local production for subsequent units.
