Boeing Reports Strongest Order Year Since 2014, Surpassing 2,000 Aircraft
Boeing announced a record-breaking performance for 2023, securing 2,026 net new aircraft orders. This figure represents the company's most successful year for sales since 2014 and its second-best year ever. The strong results were driven by major purchases from airlines like SunExpress, Emirates, and Ryanair for its 737 MAX and widebody families. This surge in demand increases Boeing's total commercial backlog to over 5,600 airplanes. The manufacturer also increased its deliveries for the year, handing over 528 aircraft to customers.
