Boeing Reduces Q1 Cash Burn as Commercial Deliveries Increase
Boeing has reported a narrowed cash burn of $3.9 billion for the first quarter of 2024, a notable improvement driven by a rise in commercial aircraft deliveries. The company delivered 83 commercial airplanes, up from 66 in the previous quarter, though still down from the 130 delivered in Q1 2023. These deliveries included sixty-seven 737s, thirteen 787s, and two 767 freighters. Despite the improved cash flow, the company continues to face production constraints and supply chain challenges. Boeing's leadership emphasized a focus on simplifying its operations and enhancing quality control moving forward.
