Boeing Delivery Delays Force Ryanair to Cancel Winter Flights
Ryanair is cancelling an unspecified number of flights this winter, citing significant delays in the delivery of new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The airline was scheduled to receive 27 new planes between September and December but now expects only 14. As a result, Ryanair will reduce the number of aircraft based at several European airports, including Charleroi, Dublin, and some in Italy. The production holdups are linked to issues at Boeing's supplier, Spirit AeroSystems, which has impacted the manufacturer's delivery schedule. Affected passengers will be notified and offered alternative flights or full refunds.
