Boeing Confirms Study into Increasing 737 Production Rate
Collins Aerospace CEO Stephen Ortberg has confirmed that Boeing is actively studying a potential increase in the 737 production rate. The study is exploring building more than the current official target of 38 aircraft per month. This potential ramp-up could see rates climb to as high as 42 jets monthly later in 2024. Boeing is engaging with key suppliers like Collins to evaluate the feasibility and capacity of the supply chain to support higher output. While a final decision has not been made, the study signals growing confidence within Boeing regarding the stabilization of its production system.
