Boeing Announces Landmark Carbon Dioxide Removal Purchase from Carbonfuture
Boeing has entered a significant agreement with the carbon removal platform Carbonfuture, marking a major step in its decarbonization strategy. The deal includes the procurement of 32,000 metric tons of durable, biochar-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits. This purchase is considered one of the largest and most ambitious of its kind within the aviation sector. The credits will be delivered over a three-year period, supporting Boeing's long-term sustainability targets. The agreement also includes 2,675 tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Certificates (SAFc).
