Boeing and Alaska Airlines Sued by Passengers Over 737 MAX Blowout
A group of 22 passengers has filed a new lawsuit against both Boeing and Alaska Airlines following the January 5th mid-air incident on a 737 MAX. The legal action, filed in Seattle, claims the door plug blowout caused severe stress, anxiety, trauma, and physical pain. The lawsuit references the NTSB's preliminary findings that four critical bolts meant to secure the door plug were missing. Passengers accuse Boeing of negligence in its manufacturing process and hold Alaska Airlines responsible for passenger safety. This lawsuit adds to the ongoing legal and regulatory pressure on Boeing, which is also facing a federal criminal investigation over the incident.
