Blue Islands to Halve Flight Schedule from Jersey Airport Amid Fleet Reduction
Regional carrier Blue Islands is significantly reducing its operations at Jersey Airport by cutting its based fleet from five to three aircraft. This move will result in the airline halving its flight schedule from the island, effective April 1st. The company stated the decision is part of a network review designed to enhance profitability and operational resilience. While key routes like the one to Southampton will be maintained, frequencies on other services will be reduced. Ports of Jersey has described the change as a significant reduction, and some staff roles at the airline are reportedly at risk.
