Blue Islands to Cease Guernsey-London Gatwick Service in 2025
Blue Islands has announced it will discontinue its flights between Guernsey and London Gatwick from 29 March 2025. The airline attributed the decision to unsustainable financial losses on the route. These losses were driven by high operational costs at Gatwick and increased competition. The CEO, Rob Veron, expressed regret but emphasized the route was no longer commercially viable. The States of Guernsey expressed disappointment, highlighting the service's importance for the island's connectivity.
