BETA Technologies' eVTOL Aircraft to Power Organ Transplant Deliveries in North Carolina
BETA Technologies has partnered with United Therapeutics and Blade Air Mobility to transport human organs for transplants in North Carolina. The collaboration will utilize BETA's all-electric ALIA aircraft, an eVTOL, to create a rapid and efficient delivery network. Blade will operate the aircraft to deliver organs directly to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. This initiative supports United Therapeutics' long-term mission of creating an unlimited supply of transplantable organs. The partnership represents a significant real-world application of advanced air mobility for critical, life-saving healthcare logistics.
