B-52 Bomber Makes Precautionary Landing in Junction City After In-Flight Engine Issue
A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress from Minot Air Force Base has conducted a precautionary landing at Colonel James Jabara Airport in Junction City. The action was taken after the crew experienced an in-flight engine issue during a routine training mission. The crew managed to land the heavy bomber safely, and no injuries were reported. Following the landing, the airport was temporarily closed to other air traffic. Maintenance personnel are being dispatched to the location to assess the aircraft and determine the required repairs.
