Avianca Cargo Transports Record 21,000 Tonnes of Flowers for Mother's Day
Avianca Cargo has successfully completed its 2024 Mother's Day peak season, transporting approximately 21,000 tonnes of flowers. This figure represents a 17% increase in volume compared to the same period in 2023. The operation involved more than 360 cargo flights originating from Bogotá, Medellín, and Quito. These shipments, primarily consisting of roses, carnations, and hydrangeas, were mainly destined for the United States. The airline utilized its specialized cold-chain solutions to ensure the freshness and quality of the delicate cargo upon arrival.
