Avelo Airlines Launches Service from Dallas Executive, Making it City's Third Commercial Airport
Dallas has gained a third commercial airport with the launch of Avelo Airlines' service from Dallas Executive Airport (KRBD). This marks the first time in decades that the airport, located south of downtown, will host scheduled passenger flights. Avelo will initially connect Dallas with two nonstop destinations: Lakeland, Florida, and New Haven, Connecticut. Service is set to begin on June 14th, utilizing Boeing 737 aircraft for the twice-weekly flights. This move provides a new, convenient travel option for residents in the southern Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
