Authorities Identify Flight Instructor Killed in Plane Crash at Montgomery-Gibbs Airport
Authorities have identified the flight instructor killed in a small plane crash at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport as 26-year-old Brenden Gorham. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the single-engine Diamond DA20-C1 he was in crashed shortly after takeoff. Gorham was instructing a 20-year-old student pilot, who survived the crash with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The aircraft was operated by the Learn to Fly San Diego flight school. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash.
