Aurigny London-Bound Flight Returns to Guernsey After Declaring In-Flight Emergency

An Aurigny flight bound for London Gatwick declared an in-flight emergency and returned to Guernsey shortly after takeoff on Monday morning. The crew of flight GR602, an ATR 72-600 aircraft, reported a technical issue and issued a standard Pan-Pan call. Declaring an emergency was a precautionary measure to ensure a priority landing at the airport. The aircraft landed safely back in Guernsey a short time later, and all passengers disembarked without incident. Passengers were subsequently transferred to a later service to continue their journey.
