Aurigny Boosts Guernsey-London Flights Following Blue Islands' Route Cut
Guernsey's state-owned airline, Aurigny, is increasing its services to London Gatwick starting from the end of March. The decision comes after rival carrier Blue Islands announced it would be ceasing its flights on the same route. To ensure the island maintains its vital connection to the UK capital, the States of Guernsey has agreed to underwrite the additional flights. Aurigny will now operate up to five daily return services between the island and Gatwick. Blue Islands stated the move was a commercial decision to refocus on other key routes.
