Atlas Air Worldwide has announced a significant strategic investment in Air Atlanta Icelandic ehf, the parent company of ACMI and charter airline Air Atlanta Icelandic. Under the terms of the agreement, Atlas Air will acquire a 49% minority stake in the company. This partnership is designed to leverage the combined resources and expertise of both carriers to enhance global ACMI services for passengers and cargo. The investment will provide a platform for future growth and expand Atlas's operational capabilities. Baldvin M. Hermannsson will remain the CEO of Air Atlanta Icelandic. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
