ASM Upgrades Sequoia Platform to Protect Freight Forwarders From Rising Cyber Risks

Agency Sector Management (ASM) is upgrading its Sequoia customs clearance platform in response to increasing cyber-attacks targeting the freight forwarding industry. The update introduces enhanced security features, most notably Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), to better protect sensitive commercial and customs data. This initiative is a direct reaction to industry reports, such as one from Sophos, which found that 69% of transport and logistics organizations were hit by ransomware last year. The upgrade aims to strengthen the digital defenses of the UK's supply chain. ASM states the new security measures are crucial for safeguarding its customers against sophisticated digital threats.
