Archer Aviation to Launch Electric Air Taxi Network in South Florida by 2026
Archer Aviation has announced plans to launch an electric air taxi network in South Florida, with service projected to start in 2026. The company is partnering with Atlantic Aviation to develop takeoff and landing sites, connecting key locations like Palm Beach International Airport and Miami. Using its 'Midnight' electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, Archer aims to provide a sustainable transportation alternative. The service is designed to turn 60-to-90-minute car trips into 10-to-20-minute flights. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to introduce Urban Air Mobility to major U.S. cities.
