Archer Aviation Shares Drop After Reporting Wider-Than-Expected Q4 Loss
Archer Aviation's stock declined after the company reported a wider-than-expected loss for the fourth quarter of 2023. The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer posted a loss of $0.34 per share, exceeding analyst expectations and the loss from the same period last year. While the company has yet to generate revenue, it is making significant progress in its aircraft development program. Archer recently completed the initial phase of flight testing for its Midnight aircraft and maintains a strong liquidity position of over $625 million to fund its path toward FAA certification.
