Anduril's $20 Billion Navy Contract Framework Comes With No Guaranteed Funding
Defense technology company Anduril has been awarded a massive contract framework by the U.S. Navy, valued at a ceiling of nearly $20 billion over the next decade. However, this figure does not represent upfront or guaranteed money for the company. The agreement is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, a mechanism that allows the Navy to place future orders as needed. This structure streamlines procurement, enabling the military to quickly acquire Anduril's advanced unmanned systems. Anduril must now compete for and win individual task orders under this framework to realize any of the potential revenue.
