Ampaire and Utah DOT Complete Historic Hybrid-Electric Aircraft Demonstration Flight
In a significant step for sustainable aviation, Ampaire's hybrid-electric Electric EEL aircraft has successfully completed a demonstration flight across Utah. The flight, conducted in partnership with the Utah Department of Transportation's Division of Aeronautics, traveled from St. George to Spanish Fork. This event showcased the viability of hybrid-electric technology for regional air travel. The modified Cessna 337 Skymaster aims to prove that such aircraft can reduce emissions, noise, and operational costs. This milestone is part of Utah's broader strategy to implement Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and improve transportation links to smaller communities.
