American Airlines Announces Record Order for 260 New Aircraft
American Airlines has placed the largest aircraft order in its history, purchasing 260 new jets to meet soaring travel demand. The deal is split among three major manufacturers, including 85 Airbus A321neo jets and 85 Boeing 737 MAX 10s. Additionally, the order includes 90 smaller Embraer E175 regional jets. This massive fleet investment is aimed at expanding premium seating and modernizing the airline's domestic and short-haul international network. Deliveries for the new aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2027.
