Amazon Cargo Jet Overshoots Runway at Miami International Airport
An Atlas Air Boeing 767 cargo plane, operating for Amazon Air, overshot the runway upon landing at Miami International Airport. The aircraft was arriving from Cincinnati when it failed to stop on Runway 09, coming to rest with its nose gear in a nearby retention pond. All three crew members were evacuated from the aircraft. One crew member reported minor injuries, but no fire occurred. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has dispatched a team to investigate the cause of the runway excursion.
