Alliance Airlines to Divest Two Brisbane Hangars in AUD28 Million Deal
Australia's Alliance Airlines has entered into an agreement to sell two of its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangars at Brisbane Airport. The deal with Ascentis Alliance Property Group is valued at AUD28 million (approximately USD18.6 million). This transaction is a strategic part of the airline's capital management initiative to strengthen its balance sheet. Under the terms of the sale, Alliance will lease back the facilities for an initial period of 10 years, with options for two further five-year extensions. This sale-and-leaseback arrangement ensures the continuity of its MRO operations at the key base. The sale is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2024.
