Alaska Airlines Receives New CFM Engines, Boosting Boeing 737 MAX Fleet Availability
Alaska Airlines is making significant progress with its fleet modernization by receiving new CFM LEAP-1B engines. These deliveries are crucial for its Boeing 737 MAX fleet, enabling the airline to return previously grounded aircraft to service. The carrier is on track to operate 85 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft by the end of 2024. Alongside its mainline fleet, Alaska is also expanding its regional capacity through the addition of new Embraer E175 jets operated by Horizon Air and SkyWest.
