Airbus Reports 55% Profit Increase in First Quarter Despite Supply Chain Issues

Airbus announced a significant 55% rise in first-quarter profits, reaching €595 million. The European aerospace giant's revenue also increased by 9% to €12.8 billion. This growth occurred despite what the company describes as a 'persistent and complex' operating environment with ongoing supply chain challenges. Airbus delivered 142 commercial aircraft during the quarter, an increase from the previous year. The company has maintained its full-year target of delivering 800 commercial jets in 2024.
