Airbus Profits Fall as Supply Chain Disruptions Continue to Impact Production
European planemaker Airbus has reported a 39% drop in profits for the first three months of the year. The decline is attributed to a challenging operating environment marked by persistent supply chain disruptions. These issues are specifically affecting the availability of engines, aerostructures, and cabin equipment for its aircraft. Despite the slump in earnings, the company's revenue actually increased by 9% during the same period. Airbus has confirmed it will stick to its full-year target of delivering 800 commercial aircraft to customers.
